About Zen House
Zen House is a small chalet in Brod na Kupi, on the Kupa river in the far north of Gorski Kotar. It is built for people who want to go quiet for a week — forest, river, and not much else within earshot.
The chalet
Two bedrooms, each with a large double bed, sleeping up to five across 70 m². The living area is open to the kitchen, which is fully equipped, and there is a sofa for the evenings. Heating runs through the house, bed linen is provided, and there is a washing machine and Wi-Fi. The chalet has its own private entrance and parking.
Outside
A sun terrace and a garden with a barbecue. The Kupa runs close by and is clean enough to swim in on a warm day, which is not something you can say of many rivers.
Brod na Kupi and around
This is one of the best bases in the region for walking and cycling, with Risnjak National Park nearby and the Kupa valley running along the Slovenian border. Good in autumn when the beech woods turn, and good in winter when it snows.
